Konidela Venkat Rao, 70, father of Chiranjeevi, passed away after a brief illness at 7.30 am in Hyderabad. Venkat Rao is survived by his wife, three sons — Chiranjeevi, Nagendrababu and Pawan Kalyan, and two daughters. He was staying with his wife separately in his own residence at Plot No. 161 in MLA Colony of Jubilee Hills. Venkat Rao is reportedly suffering from heart ailment for quite some time.
As per information he was admitted to Apollo Hospital also and was discharged recently after considerable recovery of health. However, he suffered a stroke in the morning and breathed his last. Dr Brahmanandam, K Raghavendra Rao, MS Reddy, Ramanaidu and Balakrishna were among the early birds who visited Venkat Rao's residence and paid tributes to the departed soul. The entire film industry expressed its heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family.
